Festus Keyamo doesn’t trust the Service Chiefs, he believes they’re profiting from insurgency

A Human Rights Lawyer, Festus Keyamo, on Saturday has accused Service Chiefs in the country of profiting from the current insurgency raging in the North-eastern part of the country.
Speaking at the All Progressives Congress (APC) Youth Summit in Ado Ekiti, he said, with the way the Service Chiefs were prosecuting the war against insurgency, it was clear that they were profiting from it.
“At a time, they lied that Boko Haram had agreed to a ceasefire truce, only for them to strike almost the second day. This goes to tell you that Jonathan actually ordered the announcement of the ceasefire. They later flew another kite that the leader of Boko Haram, Abubakar Shekau had been killed. But only a week ago, Jonathan said Shekau must be arrested before elections. Then, Nigerians must ask them, which Shekau did they kill the other time?” Keyamo asked.
He also said the reason the members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) were allegedly plotting to derail the electoral process was because they were afraid of being sent to jail by the APC Presidential candidate, Muhammadu Buhari.
He described as a national disgrace, the recapturing of the territories seized by Boko Haram insurgents by Chadian soldiers, saying this speaks volume of the level of the rot in the Nigerian Army.
Keyamo said most of the consistent critics of Buhari were those with criminal records of corruption, urging Nigerian voters to reject them in the coming elections in the interest of the nation.
