ALLEGED FORGED LETTER OF TERMINATION APPOINTMENT BY UNION BANK NIG PLC(warri brach delta state

I am Omizu Joyce Jabofo with Admin no 1524627, have been an employee
of Union bank until I received a purported letter of Termination dated
the 19th day of April 2013.

Moreover, I was employed in to Union bank on the 20th of February 2006
and posted to the Warri Main Market Branch Office and was later
transferred to the Enerhen road branch when I had carrying out my
duties with every sense of humour according to the ethics of the bank
with care.

Furthermore, I was going my about my normal routine in the Enerhen
road branch when my manager sent a Co- staff to call me and I was
given a strange letter of termination.

I reacted and asked what did I do to deserve this, he replied by
saying my service is no longer required. The letter dated 19th April.
I TAGGED IT FAKE because my name was fraught with so many
irregularities ranging from the letter Head to the signature therein.

Attached are the documents for references purpose.

Besides, I never received any email or correspondence from the Head
office to commemorate the purported letter of termination as which is
the usual custom of Union Bank.

Note: Another thing that amazed me was the statement/ comment my
manager Mr. Nwachukwu Charles made is another thing that beats my
imagination. I quote; I actually rejected the letter at Zonal Office
Asaba and ask them why this lady should be treated this way because
she is a hard working staff. This statement/comment was made the
moment I was given the letter of termination by my manager in his
office. Furthermore, on the 13th of October 2015 I received a text
message from Union Bank crediting my account 0016825036 with the
customary 13th month salary as usual for all staff of Union Bank.

It was then, it beckoned on me that there is a foul play somewhere.
Because there is no way the bank will terminate one’s employment and
pay such after 2 years of exit from the said bank, Union Bank to be
precise.

Hence, I concluded that the said letter did not originate from the
Head Office coupled with the trend of events, the irregularities and
inconsistence in signature as well as the 13th month salary.

In the same vein, I decided to pay a visit to Head Office, Lagos on
the July, 2016 to clarify if this letter of termination originated
from Head Office. My intention was to see the GM. General Manager &
the HR. Head of Human Resources but I was deprived from seeing them, I
only saw some other staffs who categorically told me that the letter
originate from Head Office but I was not convinced left and came back.
In fact I was their twice all my effort proof abortive. Is on this
note I want the media to come into this matter to unravel everything
about this issue for justice to prevail. In fact, because of this same
matter I have lost 2 pregnancies.
i am asking the human right body And the Efcc to investgate this isuue

9 Health Boosting Benefits of Bitter Kola

9 Health Boosting Benefits of Bitter Kola

1. Helps Aid Weight Loss

It’s not just a rumor: kola nut, a related species to bitter kola, has been proven in clinical trials to help boost weight loss. According to data published by the National Institutes of Health, kola can have an effect on weight loss in several key ways.

 2. Eases Asthma and Respiratory Illness
One long-standing use and benefit of bitter kola among African populations has been its reputation as lung-healing. Researchers say it’s true: bitter kola can open lungs and may also fight bacteria in the body.
In lab studies, albino mice fed dried kola seed powder showed improved lung function. Specifically, alveoli, the tiny sacs that fill with air in the lungs, were better able to take in oxygen. This is significant because with asthma, constriction and closing of these and other structures hinder breathing.
Meanwhile, the antibacterial effect of bitter kola (garcinia kola) appeared to pack a double-punch to lung troubles.
The researchers believe this was due to the antioxidant effect of the seeds. Research concludes that bitter kola can be an important supportive element in issues such as bronchitis or asthma.
NOTE: NEVER stop medication for your asthma in order to try an alternative. Ask your doctor whether you should add bitter kola to your health regimen. If you suspect a serious illness such as bronchitis, be sure to see your doctor.

3. Protects Male Fertility

Here’s something interesting: bitter kola can protect sperm from damage due to environmental toxins, according to one fascinating study.
The study, which took place on boars, showed that sperm were protected from an injection of a toxin. Cell damage was prevented and the sperm cells were overall healthier and more prolific.
The researchers believe it is an antioxidant known as kolaviron, present in kola nut, that provided this surprising effect.
Researchers today believe the environment can have a negative effect on sperm quality and total sperm count. And while a traditional use of kola as a potency booster has been put down to its caffeine content, it’s possible that antioxidants re doing the heavy lifting, researchers say.
In the above study, the antioxidant Vitamin C was added to bitter kola in order to boost the positive effects. This reinforces the theory that antioxidants could be the deciding factor.

4. Offers Help for Colitis Sufferers

Ulcerative colitis is a condition that can be devastating, affecting nearly a million Americans annually, according to crohnsdisease.com. UC is considered an inflammatory bowel disease. It comes with a host of uncomfortable symptoms, including:
  • Diarrhea, often with blood and pus
  • Abdominal pain and cramping
  • Frequent urgency
  • Weight loss, fatigue, and fever
  • In children, a failure to “thrive” (grow)
Colitis symptoms can keep you from fully living your life if they’re not under control. According to exciting data, bitter kola may help keep the inflammation of colitis down. That could mean fewer attacks.
In studies, bitter kola reduced inflammation, kept weight loss in check and produced an apparent easing of discomfort in rats. (Note that while kola is famous for weight loss, in people with inflammatory issues that cause unwanted loss of weight, it appears to prevent this side effect.)
NOTE: NEVER stop your colitis regimen, including any medications, or change up your regimen without consulting your physician.

5. Shields You Against Damage Due to Diabetes

Type II Diabetes can come with a list of complications. Organs such as the kidneys can be negatively affected by long-term, uncontrolled diabetes.
In a groundbreaking study, bitter kola prevented damage to a number of bodily systems in diabetic rats. It’s important to note that it was the bitter form that appeared to produce this effect, pointing to bitter kola as a possible go-to preventive for people with diabetes.
If you have your condition under control but want a boost to help make sure you’re healthy for years to come, give bitter kola a try, experts say.

6. Reduces Eye Pressure in Patients With Glaucoma

According to medical data, bitter kola can reduce eye pressure. This makes it ideal for helping keep glaucoma in check.
An aqueous solution of bitter kola was utilized in this report as part of a randomized, double-blind trial. At the end of the study, patients using the bitter kola drops had reduced eye pressure.
Glaucoma is a serious issue that can lead to blindness. Taking matters into hand early is your best possible chance of fighting this disease.
Visit your eye doctor annually and ask for glaucoma preventive testing. In the meantime, get adequate rest and exercise and add foods such as bitter kola to your regimen.

7. May Support HIV Medication Protocol

This is still somewhat controversial, and as always, we must state here that it is important that you follow your doctor’s recommendations if you have been diagnosed with HIV.
However, for some time now, antioxidants have been researched as a possible key to boosting medical efforts against symptoms of HIV (human immunodeficiency virus) and its progression.
While official recommendations are most likely quite a way off, many health experts agree that antioxidants such as those found in bitter kola  may help slow the progression of HIV. The primary disagreement seems to be not whether antioxidants do anything at all (most clinicians agree they do), but how much and what types should be used.
More groundbreaking studies are underway.
In the meantime, consuming foods high in antioxidants might boost your efforts to stay healthy and productive. The best part: they contain few side effects for most people.

8. Relief From Arthritis Pain

Here again, the anti-inflammatory effects of bitter kola come into play. Kolaviron, the key antioxidant phytonutrient in bitter kola, reduces inflammation in arthritis patients. And with reduced inflammation, pain often decreases, too.
Bitter kola is so notable for this effect that it has been studied for its effects against specific forms of arthritis, including arthritis of the knee. Inflammation was notably reduced, with a significant increase in comfort and mobility.

9. A Traditional Cold Remedy

And yet another amazing health benefit of bitter kola is its antibacterial effects that can help fight upper respiratory infection.
Bitter kola, chewed raw, is a traditional cold and bronchitis remedy among African populations. Current data supports this benefit. Studies have shown bitter kola to be effective against four different pathogens associated with colds and related illnesses.
Try some bitter kola as a daily regimen during cold and flu season to help prevent illness and to treat the bugs that are all around you during these key times.

About Bitter Kola

Bitter kola (garcinia kola) is one of 40 different varieties of kola nut. Bitter kola is a flowering plant native to certain regions of Africa and has been used there for centuries as a medicinal food.
Kola has natively been used for ailments ranging from the common cold to lethargy, malaria, and male sexual health issues. Different parts of the plant, including the fruits/ (“nuts”) and the leaves, are utilized. Often, the leaves are chewed for their fast-acting potency.
With its uplifting effects due to its caffeine content, kola nut has traditionally been used to maintain energy and keep hunger at bay during long on-foot journeys, where food may be scarce.
Kola fruits, or nuts, are red, pink or white when fresh. Once they’re dried, they turn their well-known brown. The bitter flavor increases upon drying, but so does the potency, according to those who have tried this method.

Are Kola and Bitter Kola the Same Plant?

They aren’t exactly the same plant, but they are in the same family. Many of the effects of kola (kola nitida) are the same as those that bitter kola imparts. We’ve noted similarities and differences in the list of benefits above.
The two most commonly used forms of kola are kola nitida and garcinia kola (bitter kola).

Where Do Kola Nuts Come From?

Kola “nuts” are actually the fruits of the kola tree.
Kola originated in Africa, and was later exported to the Americas as a commercial crop. Today, more than 70% of domestic and exported kola is produced in various areas of Africa, with most of the rest coming from the American tropics.

Where to Buy Bitter Kola

Bitter kola in its nut or dried form can be difficult to come by in the U.S.
We recommend asking your local health store if they plan on carrying pure kola. You can also shop online; many companies offer kola for shipment.

Is Kola Used to Make Coca-Cola (Coke)?

It was. Kola was present in the original form of the soft drink Coke, known then as Coca-Cola. According to the story, in the 1800s, a pharmacist named John Pemberton took an extract of kola and mixed it with sugar and other ingredients, including carbonated water.
He touted it as an energy drink.
Unfortunately, other less innocent ingredients were added to the energy-boosting formula, including cocaine, which was not yet criminalized for recreational use in the U.S.
After laws changed, cocaine was taken out of Coca-Cola, and over time the kola was removed too in favor of cheaper, easier to procure ingredients.
Today, Coke doesn’t contain kola or cocaine.

What About Kola Extract?

Kola extract can be an easy an inexpensive way to get some bitter kola into your regimen. Make sure to follow directions exactly. NEVER exceed recommended dosages of bitter kola extract, as some side effects may occur (see below).
Make sure you are buying a standardized form of the extract so you know you’re getting a fairly even amount of the active constituents each time you take bitter kola.
Also, verify that the manufacturer is a longtime supplier and has a positive reputation for producing a reliable, consistent product.

Side Effects

According to webmd.com, bitter kola:
  • May interact with sedative medications. DO NOT use bitter kola if you are taking sedative medications under the advice of your physician.
  • May interact with medications for the liver.
  • Can produce nervousness or sleeplessness. Very high doses may produce a fast or irregular heartbeat. NEVER exceed recommended amounts and discontinue use if nervous side effects occur. You may be caffeine-sensitive.
  • May interact with sedative medications used for surgery. Do not use for two weeks before surgery or while using follow-up medications.
  • Is considered “possibly safe” during pregnancy. However, many obstetricians advise pregnant women to stay away from caffeine-containing foods. Ask your doctor.
Bitter kola has been world-famous for generations as a medicinal food. It’s available online or through some specialty stores in its raw or dried form. Be aware that once it’s dried, bitter kola’s effects may be strengthened and the taste will be stronger as well.
Start with small amounts of this potent wonder-fruit and see how you feel. Over time you’ll find your “sweet spot” where you’re receiving positive health benefits, but aren’t experiencing nervousness or other unwanted effects.
When you get to that point– enjoy! The health benefits of bitter kola can make your quality of life better and boost your well being. Be sure to take or eat bitter kola in the morning so you’re relaxed by nighttime. You’ll get all the great effects that can sustain you through your busy day.

Health Benefits of Garcinia Kola

          Health Benefits of Garcinia Kola

Weight loss appears to be the main use for Garcinia Kola, although there are so many benefits of Garcinia kola. Although the exact process is not known, studies have concluded that Garcinia kola can help increase weight loss by acting as a

Weight loss is the primary benefit that most people seem to use Garcinia kola but it is far from the only benefit. Some of the other benefits of Garcinia kola include:
Improved Lung Function: Garcinia kola is often used to treat chest colds but research has shown it can benefit the lungs even further. A 2008 study found that Garcinia kola dramatically improved respiratory function after four weeks of use. According to researchers, Garcinia kola works to dilate the alveolar ducts and sacs by improving the strength of lung tissue.
Reduced Eye Pressure: A 2010 study found that Garcinia kola could dramatically reduce eye pressure, which is commonly a symptom of glaucoma. The study found that Garcinia kola could significantly reduce eye pressure when applied twice per day.
Arthritis Treatment: A 2008 study found that the antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties of Garcinia kola could significantly reduce joint inflammation and pain. It is believed that bitter kola could alleviate these symptoms by eliminating the cause of arthritis, which is fluid buildup and inflammation.

10 REASONS WHY BITTER KOLA IS HIGHLY SOUGHT AFTER

10 REASONS WHY BITTER KOLA IS HIGHLY SOUGHT AFTER

Bitter kola seeds, fruit, bark and nuts are used for treating diseases and ailments from time immemorial. Regardless the economic benefits of bitter kola, it's cultivation is quite minimal due to certain prevailing factors.
Benefits of Bitter Kola
1). Anti-Poison
Garcinia kola is anti-poisonous in nature, being that it helps in the prevention of bacterial infection caused as a result of food poisoning. The bark and seed of Garcinia kola when eaten together helps in the detoxification of the human system especially in the cases of food poisoning.

It is recommendable to chew bitter kola immediately after eating on suspicion of consuming contaminated food. Certain parts of the African countries have the belief that chewing and holding bitter Kola helps to drive away evil people and spirits.
2). Life Prolongation
Certain African cultures hold the belief that chewing bitter kola helps to prolong life and this claim is supported by some researchers who attest that Garcinia kola is made up of chemical compounds that assist in breaking down glycogen present in the liver, which results in life longevity.

3). Traditional medicine
Bitter kola is anti-parasitic, antimicrobial and purgative in nature hence the seeds can be used for treating colic, tuberculosis, throat infections, chest colds, typhoid fever, bacterial infections, diarrhoea, bronchitis, liver disorders and cough. The bitter kola seeds can be chewed raw or blended and mixed with other ingredients for treatment.

HIPPOCRATES, the father of modern medicine once admonished: “Let food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food.” According to him, modern medicine tends towards disease prevention through foods but the majority of people who wish to eat healthy food may also miss out on the fact that cooking sometimes destroys or reduces certain elements that should nourish the body. Nutritionists say that while some foods are better eaten when cooked, some others such as fruits and certain vegetables are better eaten raw in order to  get the most of each nutrient.
Bitter kola is one of such fruits which can be eaten raw and still benefit from its high nutritional content. Eating a piece of bitter kola daily can help in  the treatment for low libido, low sperm count, erectile dysfunction, arthritis, reduction of eye pressure, treating hangover, improving lung function and knee osteoarthritis among others. Medical experts at  Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospital, OAUTH, in a study published in the Journal of Orthopaedic Surgery and Research, said that bitter kola has a significant analgesic/anti-inflammatory effects in knee osteoarthritis patients.
Bitter kola is a potential osteoarthritis disease activity modifier with good mid-term outcome. Another study on bitter kola published recently in Science Journal of Microbiology showed that seed and leaf of bitter kola have antibacterial activity on clinical isolates of Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli, Salmonella typhi and Streptococcus pyogenes. Bitter kola has been shown to be a popular treatment for diarrhea and fever. The seed extract is antiseptic and is active mostly against gram-positive bacteria, while the leaf, is active mostly against gram-negative bacteria. It is also very efficacious for hepatitis.
Bitter kola
Bitter kola
In West Africa, bitter kola is now being harnessed as a cure for the Ebola virus infections and also against flu. The stem, bark and the seeds are used for acute fever, inflammation of the respiratory tract and throat infections. The seeds are also chewed to relieve hoarseness of voice, sore throat and cough. In folk medicine, the seed is used for the treatment of liver disorder and it’s also used in the treatment of dysentery and diarrhea. The leaves are used for stomachache and pains and they also serve as good remedy for typhoid fever.
Generally used as a social snack and offered to guests in some cultural settings, bitter kola has been indicated in the treatment of laryngitis, general inflammation, bronchitis, viral infections and diabetes.  Realnews gathered that some Igbo medicine-men prescribe the fruit for arthritic conditions and is eaten raw and not prepared as food because it has medicinal attributes. It is also taken dry as a remedy for dysentery and is said to provide an antidote against Strophanthus poisoning.
Some medical experts in Lagos have said that regular intake of bitter kola has little or no side effect on human health. They said that bitter kola is a potent antibiotic, which could be effective in the treatment of many ailments and infections. Bartholomew Brai, nutritional biochemist at the Nigerian Institute of Medical Research, Yaba, Lagos, said bitter kola is used in the preparation of herbal drugs either as a nourishment, a supplement or a herbal remedy.
However, Brai said: “If a patient on medication chews bitter kola, it will make the drugs ineffective but aside this, I do not think bitter kola has any other side effect Bitter kola has lots of health benefits, like the treatment of cough, sneezing, cold, diarrhoea, tuberculosis, bacterial infections and fever. It improves lungs’ function by expanding the alveolar ducts and sac in the lungs thereby improving and strengthening the fibres in the lung tissue.” He said that there was no recorded side effect to the regular intake of bitter kola, adding that it was all round medicinal.
Emeka Amaechi, a general physician, also said that bitter kola had chemical compounds that could help the breakdown of glycogen in the liver. “Bitter kola has antioxidant properties used as tonic for the liver and the gall bladder, which helps detoxifies the body system and it clears the voice by stimulating the production of mucus along the lining of the vocal tube which softens the dry throat and he added that bitter kola was an anti-poison. According to him, when food is suspected to be contaminated by bacteria, chewing of bitter kola will prevent the development of any infection or poison.
Amaechi said that biter kola helps to reduce eye pressure and relieves arthritis by reducing swelling, pain and increase joint movement. He also attested to the fact that the likely side effect of eating bitter kola could be incurred by any patient on drugs or medication. Botanically known as Garcinia kola, bitter kola belongs to the plant family Guttifereae. In Nigeria it is called oje in Bokyi, edun or efiari in Efik, efrie in Ejagham-Ekin, cida goro in Hausa, efiat in Ibibio, emiale in Icheve, igoligo in Idoma, aku-ilu or ugolo in Ibo, akaan in Ijo-Izon, okain in Isekiri, and orogbo in Yoruba.

Research findings have revealed that bitter kola has a lot of medicinal benefits to those who eat it
