dieting to avoid diabetics/ diabetes is a good preventive measure

Dieting can help us avoid diabetics that usually come with old age. I am not saying that it is only old people that suffer from the sickness but, it is more common in old people. In this hub are some kinds of food that helps reduce ones chance of being diabetic in the long run. Also in this hub is some class of food that needs to be avoided in order to lead a diabetes free life. The information in this hub may not be for you depending on your geographical location. Please do bear with me.
FOODS TO EAT
Plantain
Plantain can be prepared in different form. Plantain when processed can produce a good number of wonderful meals. Roast it, ok. Mill it good. Boil it you are fine. A person that takes more of plantain cannot suffer from diabetics of any kind. Apart from not standing the chance of having diabetics, the person will be healthy and strong as plantain (unripe) contains IRON. Observe Cameroonians and see how physically strong they are. This is partly because they eat a lot of plantain.
Beans
Beans are one of the major sources of protein that we have. Regular intake of beans helps in rapid growth without negative side effect. Young people that eat more of beans will look fresh, big, healthy and mentally sharp. The only problem with beans is that when not well cooked, it can cause stomach upset which may lead to flatulence. In as much as there are other good ways to cook beans, one of the best ways to prepare beans is to parboil it and then soak it over night before cooking. This will help eliminate all the gas in it that can cause flatulence.
Vegetable and Fruits
Adequate and regular intake of vegetables and fruits is a good way of living a healthy life and
