Give the Gift of Your Time This Christmas . We must show love through actions that are sincere, not through empty words.” 1 John 3:18 (GW) This Christmas give the gift of your time. Time is your most precious commodity because your time is your life. You only have a certain amount of it. God has already decided the number of days you are going to live. And you’re not going to get any more. You can always get more money, but you cannot get more time. So, when you give someone your time, you are giving that person a portion of your life that you will never get back. That’s why it’s a priceless gift. If nothing else, 2020 has reminded us that relationships should always take priority in our lives. But the truth is that many relationships are starved for time. People may live in the same home, but they pass each other like ships in the night, with a goodbye kiss here and there. Relationships die when time together dries up. Many things can rob a relationship of the time it needs to thrive. Work can rob a relationship. Activity can rob a relationship. Hobbies can rob a relationship. Even too much church involvement or ministry can rob a relationship. You may wonder, “How can I have more time for those I love?” Start by turning off the TV and setting down your phone! Those two simple changes will help you make time for others a priority. This Christmas slow down and make the time—give your time—for your family and for the other people God brings into your life. God has given you the gift of time so that you can give it away to other people. teaching from OKPAKO OKUGBENI What are the top three things—even if they are not necessarily bad things—that keep you from giving your time to people in your life? What is one practical change you can make to give more time to others this Christmas season? How has this past year helped you recognize the importance of investing time in relationships? How do you think you will look at time differently in a post-pandemic world?

What to Do With Life’s Disappointments
[Anna] did not leave the temple, serving God night and day with fasting and prayers.”
Luke 2:37 (CSB)
Luke 2 says that Anna had been a widow for 84 years. The love of her life had died when Anna was still very young. This wasn’t what she had planned for herself. Disappointment could have made her bitter. But the Bible gives us a different picture. Luke 2:37 says, “[Anna] did not leave the temple, serving God night and day with fasting and prayers” (CSB).
When Anna’s husband died, she could have chosen to let her love die too. Instead, she wisely redirected her love to God. She spent her days and nights focusing on his presence instead of her disappointment.
If you haven’t yet, one day you will probably find someone you want to love is no longer there. What do you do with your love in those circumstances? If you’re wise, you’ll focus on God’s presence and redirect your love.
I’ve seen many couples make this decision when they’re longing for a baby but can’t have one. I’ve seen them adopt or become foster parents. They’ve taken their love and redirected it. They’ve focused on God’s presence by giving his love to one of the many children in the world in need of it.
Anna also made a second wise decision when her husband was no longer there for her to love. After spending years in God’s presence at the temple, she finally met Jesus—and immediately began spreading the Good News about him.
When Jesus was eight days old, Mary and Joseph brought him to the temple, and Anna was there. The Bible says: “At that time Anna came in and praised God. She spoke about the child Jesus to everyone who hoped for Jerusalem to be set free” (Luke 2:38 CEV).
From the moment she met Jesus, she started telling other people about him. The Bible says, “He who wins souls is wise” (Proverbs 11:30 NKJV). Anna was wise because she chose to tell other people about the Good News of Jesus’ arrival.
During this Christmas season, you can make that same decision. People around you likely will be more open to spiritual truth than at any other time of the year. No matter what disappointments you’ve faced this year, choose to be like Anna. Refocus your love on God and tell people about Jesus.
That’s a wise decision.
Prayer
As you end your time of learning about the three wise women of Christmas, take a few minutes to pray through this prayer and be reminded of what these three women have taught you.
“Father, in the middle of a strange Christmas season at the end of a long, difficult year, I thank you for the greatest gift of all, your son Jesus Christ. Thank you for sending him to pay for my sins. Thank you for your promise of eternal life to those who accept this gift. Holy Spirit, fill my heart with faith to trust in your promises like the three wise women of Christmas—Elizabeth, Mary, and Anna—have taught me. Help me to choose to trust your plan instead of being bitter. Help me to believe your Word instead of my fears. Help me to focus on your presence, not my disappointment, and talk to everyone about Jesus. Amen.”

Before You Judge, Listen in Love
According to our Law we cannot condemn people before hearing them and finding out what they have done.”
John 7:51 (GNT)
One time the Pharisees were trying to judge Jesus without letting him have a say or explain himself. They didn’t want to hear his side of the story. But Nicodemus, one of the Pharisees, spoke up and said, “According to our Law we cannot condemn people before hearing them and finding out what they have done” (John 7:51 GNT).
How many times have you judged someone—your child, your spouse, your neighbor, your enemy—without listening to their story first? Have you found yourself treating someone the same way the Pharisees treated Jesus?
When you feel the urge to judge someone, stop and take a breath. Hold that breath if you need to—if that’s what it takes for you to listen before you speak! If you don’t listen first, you are committing the sin of judging others.
Do you think something needs to come to light in someone’s life? That thing probably is not yours to expose. Let God take care of it. Your job is to listen first. Try to understand before judging someone’s struggle.
Jesus said, “Do not judge, or you too will be judged. For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you” (Matthew 7:1-2 NIV).
Do to others as you would have them do to you. Listen in love, and let God be the judge.
- Why do you think many people believe they can do a better job than God at judging people?
- How does listening to your loved ones before judging them help you to truly understand them?
- What is one thing you can practice doing during conversations so that you can become a better listener?
What does the bible say about prayer ? Philippians 4:6 states ,”Do not be anxious about anything but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, let your request be made known to God. “In 1 John 5:14, “And this is the confidence that we have towards him. If we ask according to his will he hears us.”
Please complete the prayer request form and your prayer request will be delivered to our prayer team.

Why We Don’t Give Up
So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up.”
Galatians 6:9 (NLT)
If you want to be a righteous woman or man of God, then you have to learn how to be resilient. That means when you stumble—and it’s guaranteed that you will—you get back up.
A lot of factors beyond your control can cause you to fail. But if you get back up, who knows what positive things might happen. History books are filled with stories of people who failed again and again, but they did not give up until they succeeded.
General George Washington lost two-thirds of all the battles he fought against the British in the American Revolution. He kept retreating because he didn’t have the manpower to take on the British army. But he didn’t give up! He eventually won the war, became the first president of the United States, and is considered the father of the country.
Napoleon dominated continental Europe as Emperor of France. But earlier in his life he had graduated 42nd in a class of 43 people. He wasn’t the smartest student, but he is regarded as a military genius and his methods are still studied in many schools.
Albert Einstein, one of the greatest scientists of all time, didn’t say a single word until he was more than four years old. He did so poorly in school that, at age 16, he failed to pass the entrance exam for the Swiss Polytechnic School. Still, he went on to reinvent science and math.
Babe Ruth was one of the best baseball players ever. He hit 714 home runs in his career, a record that stood for almost 40 years. But he also struck out 1,330 times. For years, Ruth held the records both for most home runs and for the most strike outs.
I don’t hold up any of these men as examples for godly living. But they accomplished much in the eyes of the world because they didn’t give up. Imagine what God can do with righteous women and men who keep moving forward and working for whatever God has called them to.
“So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up” (Galatians 6:9 NLT).
Keep going, and don’t let your failure be final. You never know what God can do through you!

Why Won’t I Let God Take Control
Romans 6:12-13 (NLT)
Freedom comes when you choose what’s going to control you. If God is not number one in your life, something else is, and it will control you to a negative degree. When Christ is in control of your life, he always moves you in the right direction.
Romans 6:12-13 says, “Do not let sin control the way you live; do not give in to sinful desires. . . . Instead, give yourselves completely to God, for you were dead, but now you have new life. So use your whole body as an instrument to do what is right for the glory of God” (NLT).
What are the steps in this choice to let Christ have control?
- Admit that you’ve been trying to play God.
- Admit that you can’t change on your own.
- Humbly ask God to change you.
- Be honest with someone else about the things that need to change in your life.
- Give Jesus Christ total ownership of your life.
Do you really want to change? You may say, “I’m so tired of trying and failing.” Stop trying. Instead, start trusting. God gives you the option to either depend on him or depend on yourself. The result is either freedom or frustration.
Why not give it all to Christ? What do you have to lose?
- What character traits or circumstances affect your willingness to give control of your life to God?
- In what ways have you been trying to play God?
- What do you think it means to give yourself completely to God?
Give hope, prayer, and encouragement below. Post a comment & talk about it.

Instead of Resisting Temptation, Refocus
2 Corinthians 10:5 (NIV)
“Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good” (Romans 12:21 NIV). If your mind is filled with good thoughts, there’s no room for ones that may tempt you to sin.
During the pandemic, while you’re staying home more, you may face recurring temptations. Whatever those areas are for you, you’ll get discouraged if you keep trying to fight against them, particularly if you continually give in.
The key is to refocus your attention on something else. Here’s an example—if you’re tempted while watching TV, don’t keep telling yourself, “I’m not going to watch this.” Instead, pick up the remote and change the channel.
Temptation always starts with a thought. If Satan can’t get your attention, you can’t be tempted. Advertisers use the same tactic. They get your attention and then engage your emotions. So you move from attention to emotions to action.
Have you ever experienced this: Someone asks you, “Are you hungry right now?” And even though you’re not hungry, you start to feel hungry. Or they ask, “Are you tired?” And you answer, “You know, I hadn’t really thought about it, but now that you mention it, I am feeling a little worn down.”
Whatever gets your attention, gets you.
That’s why, when you’re tempted, you need to change your focus. Philippians 4:8 says, “ . . . My friends, fill your minds with those things that are good and that deserve praise: things that are true, noble, right, pure, lovely, and honorable” (GNT).
The more you fight a tempting thought or feeling, the more it controls you. So don’t fight it! Refocus and replace your thoughts with things that are good and make you more like Jesus.
- How are you tempted while at home during the pandemic? What are ways you can refocus away from these temptations?
- How can memorizing Scripture help you refocus your thoughts when you are tempted?
- Based on Philippians 4:8, what kinds of things does the Bible say should get the focus of your attention?

COMPLETE DETAILS OF FUGED TERMINATION LETTER
I am Omizu Joyce Jabofo with Admin no 1524627, have been an employee
of Union bank until I received a purported letter of Termination dated
the 19th day of April 2013.
Moreover, I was employed in to Union bank on the 20th of February 2006
and posted to the Warri Main Market Branch Office and was later
transferred to the Enerhen road branch when I had carrying out my
duties with every sense of humour according to the ethics of the bank
with care.
Furthermore, I was going my about my normal routine in the Enerhen
road branch when my manager sent a Co- staff to call me and I was
given a strange letter of termination.
I reacted and asked what did I do to deserve this, he replied by
saying my service is no longer required. The letter dated 19th April.
I TAGGED IT FAKE because my name was fraught with so many
irregularities ranging from the letter Head to the signature therein.
Attached are the documents for references purpose.
Besides, I never received any email or correspondence from the Head
office to commemorate the purported letter of termination as which is
the usual custom of Union Bank.
Note: Another thing that amazed me was the statement/ comment my
manager Mr. Nwachukwu Charles made is another thing that beats my
imagination. I quote; I actually rejected the letter at Zonal Office
Asaba and ask them why this lady should be treated this way because
she is a hard working staff. This statement/comment was made the
moment I was given the letter of termination by my manager in his
office. Furthermore, on the 13th of October 2015 I received a text
message from Union Bank crediting my account 0016825036 with the
customary 13th month salary as usual for all staff of Union Bank.
It was then, it beckoned on me that there is a foul play somewhere.
Because there is no way the bank will terminate one’s employment and
pay such after 2 years of exit from the said bank, Union Bank to be
precise.
Hence, I concluded that the said letter did not originate from the
Head Office coupled with the trend of events, the irregularities and
inconsistence in signature as well as the 13th month salary.
In the same vein, I decided to pay a visit to Head Office, Lagos on
the July, 2016 to clarify if this letter of termination originated
from Head Office. My intention was to see the GM. General Manager &
the HR. Head of Human Resources but I was deprived from seeing them, I
only saw some other staffs who categorically told me that the letter
originate from Head Office but I was not convinced left and came back.
In fact I was their twice all my effort proof abortive. Is on this
note I want the media to come into this matter to unravel everything
about this issue for justice to prevail. In fact, because of this same
matter I have lost 2 pregnancies.

The nutrients contained in the drink can help you to regain your appetite while overcoming any worms and bacteria in your digestive system, thanks to the existence of anti-bacterial properties. 2. May Help Deal with High Blood Pressure A study conducted by the USDA (United States Department of Agriculture) in 2008 proved that consuming Zobo drink can help to lower high blood pressure, particularly in a group of pre-hypertension and mild hypertension adults. The enzyme inhibitor contained in the Hibiscus leaves can be used to lower blood pressure by blocking amylase production. Amylase is an enzyme that can break down complex sugar and starches. This enzyme and the anti-hypertensive properties automatically work together to manage sugar levels in your blood. This is one amazing health benefit of Zobo drink. 3. May Treat Constipation Just like we already mentioned above, Zobo drink’s nutritional values include a high level of fiber. Healthy digestion is always linked to fiber content, and if you have a constipation problem it is a tell-tale sign that your digestive system is unhealthy. To treat such an issue, you need to get enough fiber each day. Drinking Zobo drink can help you to increase your fiber intake and promote a healthy digestion process. 4. Potential Benefit for Dealing with Kidney Disease People who suffer from kidney disease are recommended to drink Zobo drink frequently, since it provides 15-30% of organic acids such as tartaric acid, citric acid, and maleic acid. These acids can help to improve the kidney’s ability to filter out oxalic and uric acid, two wastes which can lead to kidney stones. However, in order to ensure that the natural properties of the Roselle leaves perform at their best, it’s better to not add any extra sugar into the drink. You can expect improved kidney function after consuming this drink. 7. May Prevent Disease Consuming this healthy drink can help to prevent certain diseases, because it is rich in anti-oxidant properties which fight against the effects of free radicals. Those who suffer from anemia can start to consume this drink in order to help enhance hemoglobin production. This will reduce the symptoms of anemia, such as tiredness and weakness. Thanks to its iron content, Roselle leaves work well to combat anemia. 12. Contains Vitamin B3 to Support Body Function Zobo drink contains vitamin B3, or niacin, which provides you with many healthy benefits including boosted brain function, healthy skin. 10 Powerful Health Benefits of Zobo Drink
You may think Zobo is just a regular drink for quenching thirst and feeling the belly, but it’s more than that!
Apart from being a nutritious drink, it is worthwhile also to state that Zobo is very low in calories and is caffeine-free. It tastes a little sour and can be consumed as hot or cold. To make your Zobo drink taste more delicious, look colourful, and become thicker, you can add secondary ingredients to it, and its quality nature will not be affected.
WHAT ARE THE HEALTH BENEFITS OF ZOBO DRINK?
1. Restore your Appetite
2. Deal with High Blood Pressure
This is made possible by the enzyme inhibitor found in the Hibiscus leaves; what this inhibitor does is to confine the production of Amylase, an enzyme associated with the decomposition of complex sugar and starches. Once this has been successfully blocked, the blood stream will then become lower.
3. Treat Constipation Problem
Therefore, if you’re experiencing constipation and you are looking for a healthy way out, then consuming Zobo regularly is your best bet. It will not only treat constipation but also boost your digestion system as well.
4. Deal with Kidney Disease
When you take the Zobo drink, the acids in it will work harmoniously to help improve the functioning of the kidney simply by flushing out oxalic and uric acid, two junks that may result in stone kidney disease.
5. Boost your Liver Health
6. Promote Weight Loss
